YeS 1st cycle successfully completed

The first YeS cycle at Forest came to a close last week. In the final session, we focused on connection at different levels: connection between body and mind, between breath and body, between self and universe, between ourselves and others. We ended the session with certificates of achievement and a friendly get-together. More details in the next newsletter !

Caroline tells us about her experience

Trained in the Yoga4Health programme in the UK, Caroline, who led this first YeS cycle at Forest, shares her experience with a big smile:

“The magic that happens in every class reminds me of how much yoga, breathing and the simple fact of being able to stop for a moment and listen to yourself can do for your body and your mind. It’s a magical moment of sharing”.

Registration for the 2nd YeS cycle are now open

The second 10-week cycle will take place on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. from April 23 to June 25 at the CPAS premises in Forest. Pre-registration is already open: you can fill in the prescription online, or in PDF format.

The origins of the YeS programme

The YeS Groups – Yoga and Care, is a yoga protocole inspired by the Yoga4Health programme created by the Yoga In Healthcare Alliance (YIHA) and is accredited by the Personalised Care Institute, in the field of social prescribing. Its implementation has been evaluated by researchers at the University of Westminster. They found statistically significant benefits across a wide range of measures, including patient activation, stress, perceived anxiety, perceived depression and perceived social isolation/social connectedness.
