Yin Yoga Workshop – Chris
Certified in yin yoga since June 2020, Chris is, next to that, a mum, but also a full-time communication & project manager for a foundation working for disadvantaged children. She is graduated in journalism & children’s rights. Among her passions you can find rock music, concerts & poetry (she also writes). Her yoga journey started a long time ago, with prenatal yoga when she was pregnant. Chris’s approach to yoga is functional and inclusive. She also loves working with oracles & tarots during her classes, and proposes chakra meditations.
Yin is a rather slow and static form of yoga (many poses on the ground, which can last several minutes), gentle and meditative, with the goal of diving in yourself, reconnecting with deep feelings and sensations of the body, listening and accepting what they have to tell you. An inner journey, above all. The yin workshops resume on September 29, one Friday a month.
The workshop taking place on September 29 will be a reminder of all the yin archetypes and their target zones in terms of myofascial groups (groups of tissues/muscles, also linked to the energy channels that are the meridians), and in terms of segments/parts of the body. An overview of the 7 archetypes, 10 (sometimes 11) myofascial groups and 14 body segments.
A preview, before continuing the journey in the following workshops, diving even more in our practice, body part by body part, tissue group by tissue group.
Next workshops till the end of December (always on Fridays):
– October 27: yin for the glutes and the ilio-tibial band
– December 1: yin for the adductors
– December 22: yin for the hamstrings and thoracolumbar
– January 19: yin for emotional release, for the psoas and other hip flexors
